Overview

Give your espresso preparation a tapered basket shape, with a wide rolled rim leading to a smaller perforated base. This SUS304 stainless steel basket belongs to the 58 mm portafilter size class and measures 38 mm high. Choose Silver, Blue or Gold, then check the rim, depth and machine clearance before fitting it.

Key Features

  • A narrower lower profile: Tapered walls connect the broad upper opening to a 34 mm circular filter base. The rolled rim must seat securely in your portafilter.
  • Perforated coffee-contact base: Closely spaced holes cover the circular bottom. Rinse the basket after each shot and remove residue so the perforations stay clear.
  • Basket supplied on its own: Each purchase contains one basket in your chosen finish. Confirm rim shape and 38 mm depth; the 58 mm size class does not mean universal fit.

How to Use

  1. Check that the basket seats securely and that your portafilter and machine have room for its 38 mm height.
  2. Place it in the portafilter, add ground coffee, distribute evenly and tamp level. See our WDT and distribution tools for puck preparation.
  3. Brew and adjust grind and dose for your beans and equipment.
  4. After brewing, allow the basket to cool, remove the grounds, rinse and dry it.

FAQ

Will it fit every 58 mm portafilter?

No. The 58 mm size class alone does not confirm fit. Check rim seating, basket retention, holder depth and machine clearance.

Is 34 mm (1.3 in) the tamper size?

No. It describes the narrower basket base. Choose a tamper for the basket opening and verify clearance against the tapered walls.

How much coffee should I use?

Use a dose that leaves suitable headspace, then adjust for your coffee, grind and equipment. Check clearance before brewing.

How should I clean the perforations?

Rinse after use, gently clear any remaining grounds and dry thoroughly. A soft portafilter cleaning brush can help.
