The Yozcoffee espresso shot mirror gives you a view beneath your portafilter while you brew. Position it beside your cup and adjust the joint to see the basket from a comfortable angle. The detachable magnetic mirror is available in beech or walnut with a metal stand, plus a silver metal version. It is especially useful with a bottomless portafilter, where the basket is exposed.

Keep the basket in view
A shot mirror helps you observe the flow as you dial in your espresso. It does not measure extraction or change brewing pressure; it lets you see what is happening beneath the basket.
Choose your finish
Choose Beech / Silver Stand, Walnut / Silver Stand, Walnut / Black Stand, or Silver Metal. Each option includes one mirror and its matching stand. Natural wood grain varies between pieces.
A compact wooden option
The wooden models have an approximately 80 mm overall diameter, with a low stand that fits beside your brewing cup. Check your drip-tray space before ordering.
How to Use
- Attach the mirror to its magnetic holder and place the stand on a stable, level surface.
- Position it beside the cup without obstructing the espresso stream.
- Adjust the viewing angle before starting your shot.
- Observe the basket and flow, then wipe away splashes after brewing.
For a clear view of the basket underside, pair it with a correctly fitting bottomless portafilter. A spouted portafilter hides the basket.

Care
Wipe the mirror with a soft, damp cloth and dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged soaking of wooden parts.
FAQ
Do I need a bottomless portafilter?
A bottomless portafilter exposes the basket so you can observe extraction in the mirror. A spouted portafilter blocks that view.
Will it fit my espresso machine?
The stand sits beside your cup rather than locking into the machine. Check the space on your tray and leave enough clearance for the cup and espresso stream. The wooden models are approximately 80 mm across.
Can I remove the mirror?
Yes. The mirror detaches from the magnetic holder and can be reattached for use.
Does it improve espresso automatically?
No. It helps you observe extraction. Grind size, dose and puck preparation still determine how your shot flows.
