Choose a 51, 53 or 58 mm base in matte black or dark olive green. The coffee-contact surface has concentric circular grooves. Check your basket's required tamper diameter before ordering.

A Closer Look at the Base

The stainless steel underside carries a series of concentric circular grooves. This ring-textured surface contacts the coffee bed during tamping; the wider upper flange sits above the tamping disc.

Prepare and distribute your grounds before pressing. Grind size, dose and your brewing recipe still matter to the finished shot.

How to Use

1. Prepare the basket. Add your dose and distribute the grounds evenly. Remove any dosing funnel before tamping.
2. Support the portafilter. Rest it securely on a tamping mat or station.
3. Press vertically. Set the tamper level over the basket and press straight down.
4. Release and lift. Let the handle rebound, lift the tamper clear and brew with your usual recipe.

Cleaning & Care

Brush away loose grounds and wipe the stainless steel base with a damp cloth. Dry it before storing. Keep moisture away from the handle and spring mechanism, and avoid soaking the assembled tamper.
