Milk Frothers & Latte Art Pitchers
Make foam with a handheld or automatic frother, or choose a pitcher for steaming and pouring with your espresso machine.
Handheld whisks do not heat milk. Automatic models offer different heating and frothing modes; pitchers need a separate steam wand. Compare capacity and care instructions.

Frother or steaming pitcher?
Choosing your coffee equipment
What size milk pitcher should I buy?
Fill a pitcher to just below the base of the spout, roughly a third full. A 350 ml pitcher suits a single cappuccino or flat white; 420–600 ml suits lattes or two drinks at once.
What temperature should steamed milk be?
About 55–65 °C (130–150 °F). The pitcher becomes too hot to hold comfortably at around 60 °C, which is a useful cue. Above about 70 °C (158 °F), milk starts to taste cooked.
Can a handheld frother heat milk?
No. A handheld wand only whisks air into the milk, so heat it first in a pan or microwave. Automatic frothers heat and foam at the same time.
Is a titanium milk pitcher better than stainless steel?
Titanium is lighter and highly corrosion resistant, and some baristas prefer how it handles. Stainless steel is heavier and more affordable. For latte art, the spout shape matters more than the metal.
Can I pour latte art with an automatic frother?
It is harder. Latte art needs fine, glossy microfoam, which a steam wand produces most reliably. Some automatic frothers make foam good enough for a simple heart if you pour from a pitcher with a pointed spout.
