FAQ
Can I use it for espresso?
Settings 0-5 give an espresso-style fine grind. It pairs best with pressurized (dual-wall) baskets and moka pots; with unpressurized baskets, expect more dialing in.
Which setting should I use for pour-over, moka pot, French press or cold brew?
As a starting point: 5-10 for moka pot, 10-20 for pour-over, 20-30 for French press and 30-40 for cold brew. Taste the result and move one setting at a time.
Which Yozcoffee electric grinder should I choose?
All three are cordless, one-touch USB-C burr grinders. This 40-setting model has a ceramic burr, 40 numbered settings and an 1800 mAh battery (up to about 30 cups per charge). The 38-setting ceramic burr grinder adds intelligent auto-stop and comes in Milk Tea or Black. The 35-setting steel burr grinder has a stainless steel burr, auto-stop and a 120 ml (4.1 oz) magnetic grounds cup.
How many cups can it grind per charge?
Up to about 30 cups. Finer settings, harder beans and bigger doses shorten that; coarser settings stretch it.
Is the adjustment stepped or stepless?
Stepped. The external ring has 40 numbered positions, so you can note a setting and return to it.
How is it different from a blade grinder?
The ceramic conical burr crushes beans through a controlled gap instead of chopping them, giving a more even grind that is easier to repeat.
Is it suitable for travel?
Its compact cordless design suits offices, hotels, and trips where a USB charging source is available. Follow applicable travel rules for lithium-battery devices.
Can I take it on a plane?
The built-in 1800 mAh lithium battery is far below the 100 Wh limit most airlines apply to devices with built-in batteries, so it is normally fine in carry-on luggage. Check your airline's current rules before flying.
How should I clean it?
Brush residue from the burr area, clean the detachable grounds cup, and wipe the motor body dry. Do not immerse the main unit.
