Adjust the Flow as You Brew
Use the slider to set a slow drip, then check it periodically during extraction. The water level and melting ice can change as brewing progresses, so a small adjustment may be needed to keep the flow steady.
The supplied guide suggests 7-8 drops every 10 seconds as a starting point. Treat this as a reference and adjust for your coffee and preferred taste.
How to Make Cold Drip Coffee
- Prepare the filter. Place the reusable stainless steel disc in the coffee basket and position the basket above the carafe.
- Add your grounds. Start with a medium-coarse grind and level the coffee bed. Follow the illustrated method by placing a paper filter over the grounds to help spread the incoming water.
- Add ice and cold water. Assemble the upper chamber and fill within its capacity. Weigh water and ice together if you are following a coffee-to-water ratio.
- Set the drip rate. Adjust the external slider for a slow drip. Check the flow periodically and make small adjustments as needed.
- Collect and serve. Let the coffee drain into the lower carafe, then serve over ice or dilute with water or milk to taste.
Recipe starting point: try a coffee-to-water ratio of about 1:10-1:12 by weight, counting ice as part of the total water. Scale your dose to fit the basket and chamber; do not overfill. Allow several hours and adjust future batches to taste.
Reusable Filter, Separate Serving Carafe
The approximately 300-mesh stainless steel disc provides the main filtration and can be cleaned for repeated use. The paper filter placed on top of the coffee bed serves a different purpose: helping distribute the water as it drips.
The lower glass carafe holds the brewed coffee for serving. Its 650 mL capacity does not mean a single fill of the 450 mL upper chamber will produce 650 mL of coffee.

With immersion brewing, the grounds steep in water before filtration. This cold drip brewer lets water pass gradually through a bed of coffee and collect in the carafe below. You control the drip rate with the external slider.
How much coffee does it make?
The upper chamber holds 450 mL and the lower carafe holds 650 mL. These are vessel capacities, not a guaranteed serving size. Finished coffee depends on the water and ice used, with some water retained by the grounds or left in the brewer.
Do I need paper filters?
The reusable stainless steel disc provides the main filtration underneath the grounds. The illustrated method also uses a paper filter over the coffee bed to help distribute incoming water. Paper filters are not listed among the included accessories.
Can I brew with cold water without ice?
Yes. Use cold water, ice or a combination in the upper chamber, keeping within its capacity. For a repeatable recipe, weigh your water and ice together rather than treating a chamber filled with ice as an exact volume of water.
How long does a brew take?
Allow several hours. The existing brewing guide suggests around 3-4 hours as a reference, but actual time depends on the amount of water and ice, the drip rate, the grind and drainage through the coffee bed. Check the flow during brewing instead of relying on a fixed finish time.
Does it need power or heat the water?
No. It uses gravity rather than a motor or pump and has no heating element. It is designed for cold drip brewing.
