58mm baskets are not all identical, so compare three numbers with the basket you use now:
- Rim: outer diameter across the top lip - this basket is 70mm.
- Opening: inner diameter at the top - 60mm.
- Depth: overall height - 24.5mm.
Because the wall is ridgeless, your portafilter's retaining spring holds the basket by friction. If your current basket is also ridgeless, or your spring holds baskets firmly, you are in a good position. Not sure? Why Titanium?
Most espresso baskets are stainless steel. Titanium is roughly 40% less dense than steel and is known for its strong corrosion resistance, which is why it is used for premium cookware, camping gear and watches. In a basket, that means a lighter part in the portafilter and a surface that is not prone to rust.
The crystalline finish adds character: understated in Silver, bolder in Purple, and shifting through the spectrum in Rainbow. All three share the same dimensions and 18g rating, so pick the look that suits your setup.
Key Features
Flat, perforated base
Fine holes span the flat floor of the basket, a layout favoured by home baristas who pay attention to puck prep. Your grind, dose and distribution still shape how each shot runs.
Ridgeless wall
A straight wall with no retaining groove gives a clean, uniform bed for tamping. Check that your portafilter spring holds the basket securely before the first shot.
18g nominal dose
Sized for a standard double shot. Start at 18g and adjust by a gram or so for your beans, roast and headspace.
How to Use
- Seat the basket. Press it into your portafilter by hand, without forcing it, and confirm it is held firmly.
- Weigh the coffee. Start at 18g on a coffee scale and adjust to taste.
- Prepare the puck. Distribute and tamp evenly. With a WDT tool, stir the grounds without scraping the basket wall.
- Brew and knock out. Pull your shot, then tap the portafilter on a knock bar to release the puck.

Care
Rinse with warm water after use and wipe dry. To keep the crystalline finish looking its best, avoid espresso cleaning powders, dishwashing detergent and citric acid - especially long soaks, which can dull or darken the surface - and skip abrasive pads. See our Care & Cleaning guide for more.

FAQ
Will it fit my 58mm portafilter?
Most likely if your current basket measures close to a 70mm rim, 60mm opening and 24.5mm height, and your spring holds baskets firmly. 58mm portafilters vary, so compare those numbers first - or contact us with your machine model and we will help you check.
Do the three colors perform differently?
No. Silver, Purple and Rainbow share the same material, dimensions and 18g rating. Only the finish differs.
Is this a three-basket set?
No. Each purchase contains one basket in the color you select.
Is 18g the basket weight?
No. It is the nominal coffee dose. Adjust to your coffee and available headspace.
Why might a ridgeless basket feel loose?
Without a retaining groove, the basket is held by your portafilter's spring. A soft or worn spring may not grip it firmly; check retention before brewing and knocking out the puck.
Can I soak it in espresso cleaner?
We recommend against it. Cleaning powders, detergent and citric acid, particularly with prolonged soaking, can change the look of the crystalline surface. A warm-water rinse and wipe is enough for daily care.
