A bottomless portafilter is a diagnostic tool. Off-center flow, separated streams, or spraying can reveal uneven resistance through the puck and point you toward improvements in distribution, tamping, grind, or dose.

Compatibility Comes First
This model is designed for standard 58mm E61-style group heads, but basket diameter alone does not guarantee fit. Compare the locking tabs, diameter, and insertion angle with your machine’s original portafilter before ordering. Do not force the handle if it does not lock in smoothly.
Typically compatible (E61 group): Rocket Appartamento, Giotto and Mozzafiato; ECM Classika, Mechanika and Technika; Profitec Pro 500, 600 and 700; Lelit Mara and Bianca; Bezzera Magica and Unica; Expobar and Quick Mill E61 models. Not designed for: Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia, Breville/Sage Dual Boiler, La Marzocco Linea Mini or other non-E61 58 mm groups - these use different locking-lug geometry even though the basket is 58 mm.
Cleaning & Care
Let hot metal parts cool, remove the basket, and rinse coffee-contact surfaces after use. Hand wash the steel head with mild detergent when needed and dry fully. Wipe either handle with a soft, lightly damp cloth; never soak the walnut option or place the assembled portafilter in a dishwasher.

Which espresso machines does this E61 bottomless portafilter fit?
It is made for machines with a standard E61 group head, such as Rocket (Appartamento, Giotto, Mozzafiato), ECM (Classika, Mechanika, Technika), Profitec (Pro 500/600/700), Lelit (Mara, Bianca), Bezzera (Magica, Unica), Expobar and Quick Mill E61 models. It is not designed for non-E61 58 mm machines such as the Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia, Breville Dual Boiler or La Marzocco, which use different locking-lug geometry.
Will it fit every 58mm espresso machine?
No. A 58mm basket diameter does not guarantee the same locking-tab geometry. Confirm that your machine uses a compatible E61-style portafilter before ordering.
Is a filter basket included?
The box contains the portafilter only. Use the basket from your machine's original portafilter or any compatible 58 mm basket; a bottomless portafilter works best with a single-wall (non-pressurized) basket.
Does a bottomless portafilter make better espresso?
