Grind Setting Guide
Choose a Grind for Your Brew
- Moka pot: start with a fine grind, then adjust for your brewer.
- Pour-over and drip: start around medium; adjust one or two clicks at a time while keeping the dose and water amount consistent.
- French press: start coarse and adjust to taste.
There is no single click setting that works for every bean and brewer. Record your preferred setting so you can return to it. Fine grinding takes more hand effort.
Buying for espresso? Fine settings alone do not guarantee the precision needed to dial in every espresso machine. Compatibility with your basket and recipe is not verified; choose a dedicated espresso grinder if precise espresso adjustment is your priority.
Simple Maintenance
Keep the Burrs Dry; Wash the Jar Separately
Brush loose grounds from the burr chamber after use. Detach the glass jar and wash it separately, then let it dry completely before reassembly. Do not immerse the assembled grinder or rinse the burr chamber.

Does it require electricity or batteries?
No. It is operated entirely by hand using the detachable crank.
Can it grind for espresso?
It offers fine settings, but performance with every espresso machine and basket has not been verified. Fine grinding takes more effort, and 40 stepped settings may not provide the adjustment your espresso recipe needs.
Can I use it for pour-over or French press?
Yes. Start around medium for pour-over and coarse for French press, then adjust for your beans and recipe.
