The included 30 ml scoop attaches magnetically to the steel body, keeping it off the counter and within reach. Scoop what you need, then reseal the lid promptly.

The lid uses a silicone-gasket double seal, and the latch applies consistent closing pressure. Keep the sealing surfaces free of coffee grounds so the lid can close fully.

A date dial for simple rotation tracking
Set the lid dial when adding a new batch of beans or grounds. The dial is a manual reminder of the storage date; it does not measure freshness or replace the roaster's date information.

One-way venting for freshly roasted beans
Coffee can release CO₂ after roasting. The built-in one-way valve is designed to let that gas escape while limiting outside air from moving back through the same path. It is not a vacuum system.

Hand wash the canister, lid, gasket and scoop as needed. This product is not described as dishwasher-safe. Dry every part completely before refilling, and keep grounds away from the gasket and valve.

What does the one-way valve do?
It is designed to vent CO₂ released by coffee while limiting outside air from entering through the valve. It does not create a vacuum.
Which size should I choose?
Use the approximate bean capacities as a guide: 250-350 g for 1.5 L, 400-500 g for 1.8 L and 700-900 g for 2.8 L. Allow extra space rather than relying on the upper estimate; roast level, bean size and packing affect fit. A full 500 g bag may need more than the 1.8 L size, and a full 1 kg bag may need to be divided.
How long will coffee stay fresh in the canister?
An airtight, light-blocking canister slows staling but does not stop it. Whole beans are at their best within about 2-4 weeks of roasting and ground coffee within about 1-2 weeks; the date dial helps you keep track. See our coffee storage guide for more.
Is this a vacuum canister?
No. It is an airtight canister with a one-way valve. It seals air out and lets CO₂ escape, but it does not pump air out of the container.
Should I keep the canister in the fridge or freezer?
No. Store it in a cool, dry cupboard away from heat and sunlight. Refrigerating coffee introduces moisture and odours; if you freeze coffee, do it in sealed single portions rather than in this canister.
Can I store ground coffee or tea?
Yes. The canister is suitable for whole beans, ground coffee, tea leaves, sugar, spices and other dry pantry goods. It is not for liquids.
Does the date dial measure freshness?
No. It is a manual reminder that helps you record when the canister was filled.
Is it dishwasher-safe?
Hand washing is recommended. Dry the canister, lid, gasket and scoop fully before adding coffee or other dry goods.

The largest 2.8 L option is listed for approximately 700-900 g of whole beans, so do not rely on it holding a full 1 kg bag. Bean density and roast level affect fit. For a bulk purchase, keep a daily-use portion in the canister and seal the remainder separately.
