A more evenly distributed coffee bed is a useful starting point for espresso preparation. Move the needles gently through the grounds and finish with light surface passes. Extraction still depends on your grind, dose, tamp and brewing settings.

Return the needle assembly to its matching protective case after use. The threaded closure keeps the two parts together for tidy storage.
How to Use
- Unscrew the short wooden grip from its protective case.
- Gently stir the grounds in your portafilter to loosen clumps. Do not force the needles against the basket.
- Finish with light passes to distribute the surface evenly.
- Set the WDT tool aside, tamp with a separate tamper, and brew.
The WDT tool distributes grounds; it does not compress the coffee puck.

Common Questions
Does 2-pack mean two complete tools?
Yes. You receive two complete dark-wood WDT tools, each with its own threaded protective case. Portafilters, tampers and coffee machines shown are not included.
Is this a coffee tamper?
No. Use the needles to loosen and distribute grounds, then tamp with a separate espresso tamper.
When should I use it?
Use after grinding and dosing coffee into the portafilter, and before tamping.
Are both tools the same color?
Yes, both are dark walnut wood. Natural grain and tone may vary slightly.
How should I care for it?
Gently remove coffee residue and keep the wood dry. Avoid soaking the wood or putting it in a dishwasher. Dry the needles before storing and handle the fine points carefully.
