The upper opening narrows toward a smaller circular base. This is a tapered basket, not a straight-wall design.

A rounded lip sits above the upper wall. Check that the basket seats securely in your portafilter before brewing.
Check the Fit
The 58mm label is a size class, not a promise of universal machine compatibility. Confirm the basket opening, rim fit, retention and 38mm height against your portafilter and machine. The 34mm measurement refers to the narrower base, not the top opening.

How to Use
- Check the fit, rinse the basket, then dry it before dosing.
- Seat the basket securely in a compatible portafilter. Start within the nominal 18-20g range, leaving suitable headspace.
- Distribute the grounds evenly and tamp level. Our WDT and distribution tools can help with puck preparation.
- Lock the portafilter into your machine and brew. Adjust grind and dose gradually to suit the flow and taste.
- After brewing, allow the parts to cool, remove the grounds and rinse the basket. Dry before storing.
Dose and extraction results vary with coffee density, roast, grind, preparation and machine settings.

FAQ
Will it fit every 58mm portafilter?
No. The 58mm size class alone does not establish compatibility. Check rim fit, basket retention, holder depth and machine clearance, especially with the 38mm basket height.
Is 34mm the tamper size?
No. It describes the narrower basket base. Select a tamper for the basket opening and confirm it can tamp your dose without contacting the tapered walls.
How much coffee should I use?
The nominal range is 18-20g. Coffee density and roast affect the space a dose occupies. Leave suitable headspace and adjust the dose for your setup.
Does the basket guarantee less channeling?
No basket guarantees an even shot. Grind, distribution, tamping and machine settings still matter. Use the tapered shape as a different option to explore while dialing in.
How should I clean it?
Rinse after use and gently remove grounds from the filter surface. A suitable soft brush can help; see our portafilter cleaning brush. Hand wash gently and dry thoroughly.
